Notes on the fifth month…..
* First Thanksgiving went down along with lots of family and friends loving on baby K. Little miss ham loves every high-pitched squeal and smile coming her way.
* First trip to New York City to finally meet her aunt Laney and future-arranged-husband Luke. Baby photo-shoot with both trying to eat each other was super sweet, and future blackmail. Walking through Central Park with babies in matching hats (with ears of course) was beyond adorable.
* Her teachers are always telling us about how smiley and alert she is, especially during group music and Spanish classes. Maybe she’ll be a future flamenco dancer?
* Kalyna rolls over once…but no barrel rolling quite yet.
* Still sleeping like a champ, typically 8-6ish, wakes up for a snack then goes back down till 9ish.
* Forever a peanut. Finally starting to outgrow her 0-3’s.
* Still solely b-feeding. Still going strong and both of us do so well with it. However, the full court press from everyone to feed her solids is a bit overwhelming and makes you question everything. But then I figure I’d be questioning my doctor…and myself…so then I go back to breastfeeding. Although, I did buy a high-chair which means in the next few weeks, we’ll try real food.
* The only challenge with feeding now is that she wants to be a part of the action. She’s super observant and alert so she notices and hears everything..whether it be watching miss Lily, hearing her dad downstairs, etc. ‘
* Everything in her mouth at all times. She goes all stealth on you when trying to discreetly stuff your fingers or hair in her mouth.
* She *may* be outgrowing her swing! Before it meant instant nap but now she just laughs, finding herself ever-amusing in the mirror.
* Girlfriend doesn’t nap. She sleeps 13 or so hours through the night and in the morning but then it’s party time.
* We are still totally completely obsessed and in love. Sweetest girl ever.
